Campsite Val de Boutonne

Our campsite with a swimming pool is set in a 2.4-hectare park of plane trees and greenery. Located on the edge of a body of water on the Boutonne river, it is 1 km from the historic town center and its amenities. Countryside and nature in the heart of a charming town.

From the campsite, you can enjoy the heritage of Saint Jean d’Angély by walking to the town center and its monuments: Explore the town, which will take you from the Middle Ages to the Art Deco era, passing through the Renaissance with its Royal Abbey, its Place du Pilori (a Michelin Guide star), the Grosse Horloge tower, its half-timbered houses, and its museum. You can explore the Vals de Saintonge region and visit Saintes, Cognac, Rochefort, Île de Ré, Île d’Oléron, La Rochelle, and Royan, as well as the Marais Poitevin, to discover the charms of the ‘Blue and Green’ Charente Maritime.

Ideal for a rejuvenating holiday as a couple, with family, or with friends. Very quiet campsite. Our campsite is traditional, embracing the true values of camping: tents, caravans, and motorhomes! Friendliness is its motto. No entertainment. Snack bar open in the evening with a simple and varied menu, with takeaway options available.

You can discover the town via the Boutonne river with a canoe trip; the campsite is located along the river and its body of water, overlooking its leisure base, which offers pedal boats, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, a fitness trail, a water park, mini-golf, children’s games, and a ‘guinguette’ restaurant. The campsite rents bicycles and offers routes, including the ‘Rives de Boutonne’ cycling path, which passes right by the campsite and is accessible even for beginners.

You can also enjoy Saint Jean d’Angély’s cultural offerings, including its cinema with three screens and its magnificent performance hall, L’Eden.
